An example of Cavendish Media’s commitment to excellence is the magazine distribution program customized specifically for American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines. Although the core of the program is the same in order to comply with AAM and BPA rules, distribution, labeling, tracking and many other services were customized to suit the carriers’ needs.

AGREEMENTS – Cavendish Media has agreements with American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines. To facilitate the airline in acquiring consumer based magazine titles, Cavendish Media maintains agreements with the publishers. Cavendish Media also maintains membership with AAM former ABC and BPA and are subject to AAM former ABC and BPA Guidelines and spot Audits.

SHUTTLE SERVICES – At LGA, BOS, DCA, and ORD (ORD Delta Airlines only) Cavendish Media services both American Airlines and Delta Airlines shuttle services. At these airports Cavendish Media is tasked with placing a variety of complimentary airline specific labeled magazines within the departures and arrivals areas. Thus allowing each passenger departing and arriving, their choice of magazine(s) for in flight, home or hotel reading; which is by far the best exposure any magazine publisher could possibly want. Both American Airlines and Delta Airlines have made sure the magazines are not overlooked by making them the first seen after airport security and the last seen on the way out. The American Airlines and Delta Airlines shuttle areas see a combined traffic flow in excess of 7 million passengers per year. 

CLUB ROOMS – As we all know Club Rooms are for the Elite traveler; these individuals travel either First or Business class. Within the continental United States, American Airlines, Delta Airlines and United Airlines each have 30+ club rooms. In addition to the individual club locations Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Greensboro, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, New York (JFK & LGA), Orlando, Philadelphia, Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington have multiple club room locations within their respective Airports. In each of these club rooms Cavendish Media is tasked with providing the carrier (hand picked) complimentary airline specifically labeled magazines. According to demographics supplied by the airlines about club members, roughly half indicate a household income of over $150,000 and nearly one in five have a household income of $250,000 plus. As for the member usage of these club rooms, each airline boasts a traffic flow of approximately 4 million per year. Each airline has an alliance agreement with international airlines therefore expanding the exposure of the titles to First and Business Class passengers of foreign flag airlines. Thus assuring a high reader per copy volume.

INTERNATIONAL IN FLIGHT PROGRAM– In addition to the shuttles services and the club rooms, Cavendish Media provides complimentary magazines to a variety of International Airlines that have USA located Club rooms, the airline(s) hand picks which magazines are placed within their respective Club rooms on-board. Magazines designated for in-flight services are picked and packed in mixed ship sets based on airline specific requests. They are placed within the upper class cabins of International flights departing from major U.S. cities. Domestic In-Flight program(s) are currently suspended until further notice.

TRACKING – Cavendish Media tracks each out bound shipment of magazines from Origin to final Destination via our internal tracking system(s). This assures each shipment arrives at its final destination in a timely fashion. In addition pre-alerts are sent out to each Airline Station advising them in advance of the actual shipment, thus expediting the recovery of the shipment, as well as placement into the various Airline locations.

This allows Cavendish Media to monitor the flow of the various titles to each location, maintaining a constant stream of fresh titles as well as the optimum amount of copies to each location. Adjustments are made on a regular basis, Publishers are notified in advance of any changes to their distribution profiles.
